Meet The Team

Ro is our Pre-school supervisor. She has been with us for 22 years and has over 26 years pre-school experience. She has seen hundreds of children pass through our doors - some of whom have even come back to do work experience! Ro has many qualities and certainly knows how to bring out the best in every child. Tireless in her pursuit to ensure the Pre-school is a fun, educational and happy place to be, she is still very much a hands on member of the team and her real strength lies in how she relates to the children. (Ask them about her magic tissue!)

Avril is our Deputy Supervisor with a Diploma in Pre-school Practice. She is also our Health and Safety Advisor and a First Aider. She has worked at the Pre-school for 22 years and brings her own special creativity and ideas to help the children grow in confidence. She has a very special recipe for the soft dough sessions that the children love.

Judy is an early years practitioner with an Advanced Diploma in Childcare and Education and is completing an OU degree in Childhood Studies. She also has taken courses in First Aid and Creative Storytelling. Judy has been with us for 10 years and knows how to enhance the children's musical and creative abilities with her own unique and calm style of teaching. Her gift is her ability to engage children with her stories and to come up with a different twist every time. 

Roz is an early years practitioner and has a Diploma in Pre-School Practice. Her skills encourage the children 's creative learning through making/sticking and tactile play. She is great at letting the children come up with their own ideas and then helping them to carry out the more difficult problems themselves.   Roz also holds a food hygiene certificate.

Vicci has transferred from her role on the parent committee to that of staff member.   She is a lively an popular member of staff who brings a fesh and dynamic outlook to the setting.

 

Denise is another member of the staff team and has had many years experience as a child minder and also worked tirelessly on our committee.     Denise particularly enjoys cooking activities with the children.
